Veroniki Hadjistefanou is a Cyprus-based visual artist and designer whose practice explores textiles, craft and material experimentation. She holds an MA in Fashion Knitwear from Central Saint Martins and a BA (Hons) in Fashion from Kingston School of Art. She has also completed a three-week masterclass in fervolites lace-making and trained in interactive weaving and smart textiles at the V&A.
Her practice combines traditional and contemporary textile techniques, including hand and machine knitting, sewing and experimental textile manipulation. Her professional experience includes working with Iris van Herpen, Roberto Cavalli and Mary Katrantzou, alongside collaborations in design for performance. She was also featured in Filep Motwary’s short film series #CraftingCyprus, highlighting contemporary craft practices in Cyprus. She is a lecturer at Aigaia School of Art + Design and Art Director of Beauty Line Art Foundation, and is involved in creative and curatorial projects in Cyprus.
Cyprus-based, veroniki, explores the space between knitwear, sculptural garment construction and experimental pattern cutting, embodying a contemporary approach to textile-based fashion. The fibers are often used to create dense, adaptable surfaces that respond to the body while maintaining a strong sculptural presence. Moving beyond conventional knitwear, the collections treat garments as objects that exist somewhere between clothing and sculpture.
